Dental veneers help restore gaps in your smile so you can smile with self-assurance
At our three practice locations in Beaumont Hills, Edgecliff and Kellyville Plaza the team here at Precise Dental Surgery offer natural looking veneers to help repair chips and breaks in our patient’s smiles.
Dental veneers are thin porcelain shells that are placed directly on top of your teeth by your dentist. Veneers are used to eliminate gaps in your smile, overcome discoloured teeth or restore broken or chipped teeth.
If you suffer from gaps in your smile, stained or dull teeth, misshapen, chipped or worn teeth, we recommend you speak to our experienced team of dental professionals. They will assess your smile and your overall dental health to recommend an appropriate treatment plan for your needs.
Placing dental veneers
There are three stages involved when receiving dental veneers.
Initially we will undertake extensive diagnosis from which we can then develop a detailed treatment plan. We encourage our patients to speak with our dental professionals about the aesthetic goals they wish to achieve with their smile. By taking time to really understand what it is our patients would like to achieve, our dental professionals can help to ensure that you have a mutual understanding of the potential results of your treatment.
The following step is preparation. In order to prepare the tooth for you veneer our dental professionals will need to remove a very minuscule amount of your tooth’s enamel. The enamel removed will soon be accounted for by your new dental veneer which will completely cover your tooth.
Bonding is the final step when receiving dental veneers. By this point we will have produced a veneer to match the size and colour of the smile you wish to achieve. We will place the veneer with a specialised dental cement to ensure that it is permanently bonded to the tooth.
Advantages of dental veneers
Dental veneers can be advantageous for a number of reasons, including:
- Veneers are resistant to staining which can help to safeguard your smile against later discolouration
- When transforming your smile veneers can often have a very natural appearance
- Our patients often experience little to no discomfort when receiving veneers
- This cosmetic treatment can be extremely long lasting when maintained with the appropriate care
- Veneers should be comfortable and feel no different to your natural teeth
During your initial consultation our dental professionals will provide a thorough examination of your smile and if this treatment is appropriate we will discuss with you the option of dental veneers to enhance your smile or restore chips and breaks.
