Does the thought of going to the dentist scare you? Do you hate dental drills? We can help!
We can help to alleviate the fears you may have about receiving the dental work you require with our range of virtually pain free sleep dentistry treatments. Our caring team at our Beaumont Hills, Edgecliff and Kellyville Plaza practice locations will provide compassionate and detailed care while you sleep through your treatment.
During your initial consultation we can assess your dental concerns and determine a treatment that would be the most beneficial to the health and appearance of your smile, as well as your lifestyle and budget. When discussing your proposed treatment we will take you through our comprehensive range of pain management options which include nitrous oxide, general and local anaesthesia.
Once we have identified the appropriate treatment and discussed with you your options to help eliminate dental anxiety, we can walk you through your procedure.
Here at Precise Dental Surgery we provide inhalation sedation also known as happy gas or laughing gas. Happy gas is simply a gas that is administered by our team which provides a relaxed state of mind. The effects of happy gas take a few minutes to take effect and the level of sedation can be increased or decreased as necessary.
Happy gas can be useful for our patients who are anxious about their dental treatment or for those who are concerned about being uncomfortable while they receive their treatment.
Intravenous (IV) sedation is a form of sedation dentistry administered by an anaesthetist. It is also known as conscious or twilight sedation. During IV sedation small amounts of medication are administered until the desired state of sedation is achieved. Once the effect of IV sedation takes effect, you will feel virtually no pain. While in this state, all of your reflexes will remain intact and you will be able to breathe as you would normally.
IV sedation is largely used forour patients who are undergoi ng more complex restorative treatments or for those with more extreme dental anxiety. Our skilled anaesthetist is trained to provide professional compassionate care to ensure your comfort and safety.
Local anaesthesia is used regularly inorder to numb localised areas in your smile in order to receive a dental treatment such as a filling. Local anaesthesia is administered by an extremely thin specialised dental needle and should be relatively comfortable.
During your initial consultation we can discuss your pain management options with you to identify which one is most suitable for your dental concerns.
